The Wheel Loaders We Stock
Mostly mid-size loaders in the 2 to 5 yard class: the machines that load trucks, feed crushers, stockpile stone and push snow all winter. We also pick up compact loaders for farms and nurseries, and larger production loaders when we find good ones. Expect models like the Caterpillar 924, 938, 950 and 966, John Deere 544, 624 and 644, Komatsu WA270 through WA380, Volvo L60 through L120 and Case 621 and 721.

What to Check on a Used Wheel Loader
- Tires. Look at tread depth, sidewall cuts and whether all four match. A set of loader tires can cost as much as a major repair, so price them into the deal.
- Center hinge and pins. Have someone curl and lift while you watch the articulation joint and bucket pins for play.
- Transmission. Shift through every gear forward and reverse, loaded. Slow engagement or harsh shifts point to clutch packs or valve trouble.
- Axles and brakes. Listen for grinding in tight turns and check the axle seals and hubs for leaks.
- Lift and tilt. Raise a loaded bucket and hold it. If it drifts down, the cylinders or control valve are bypassing.
- Hours in context. A 9,000-hour loader from a sand pit can be in better shape than a 5,000-hour loader that lived on salt piles. Ask where it worked.
Used Wheel Loader Questions
How many hours is too many on a used wheel loader?
There’s no single cutoff. Well-kept mid-size loaders routinely work past 15,000 hours, usually with a drivetrain rebuild along the way. Service records, how the transmission shifts and how tight the pins are tell you more than the hour meter by itself.
Do your wheel loaders come with a bucket?
Most do. If a loader comes with a bucket, forks or a quick coupler, it’s listed in the description. We don’t sell attachments separately.
Can you ship a wheel loader out of state?
Yes. We load onto your trailer in Richmond or help arrange a hauler anywhere in the continental U.S. Mid-size loaders usually travel on a lowboy or step deck, and freight is quoted by machine and destination.
Looking for a Specific Wheel Loader?
Tell Ryan the size, the make you prefer and your budget. If we don’t have the right wheel loader today, there’s a good chance one is on the way in, and you’ll hear about it before it’s listed.
